Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Greyhound Adoption League of Texas - Central Texas Chapter (GALTCT). GALT Central Texas supports, welcomes, and encourages an active, organized volunteer base of greyhound lovers who share the passion and vision of finding loving, responsible forever homes for greyhounds. Without dedicated, hard-working volunteers we cannot further our mission to adopt out these wonderful dogs. Volunteers need to be 18 years of age. 16 and 17 year olds may volunteer if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian. The parent or guardian needs to submit a separate application for their 16 or 17 year old. If you are seeking community service hours for volunteering with GALT Central Texas, unfortunately we are unable to sign off on hours for required community service. We would love to have you as a volunteer, however your hours will not qualify for any required community service. Please complete the following application. Events and Fundraisers

Can you assist with events and fundraisers? Online Event Planning - help organize online auctions, write item descriptions (2-4 hours/week in month prior to event)      Event Planning - help organize annual events and special fundraisers (2-4 hours/week in month prior to event)      Meet and Greet Manager - run a monthly meet & greet event (3 hours/month)      Event Participation - assist with setup/breakdown for events, staff booths (up to 4 hours on day of event)      Online Event Participation - monitor online auction site to answer questions, assist with post-event mail-out of items

Foster/Adoption Administration

Can you assist with Foster/Adoption administrative activities? Help with administrative tasks such as preparing monthly meds to be mailed for fosters      Help with reference checks (1-4 hours/week depending on number of applications in process)      Adoption follow up calls/email/text (1-4 hours/week depending on number of applications in process)      Foster support - help with foster family inquires and provide foster family support, requires a solid knowledge of greyhounds, perferred applicant would have greyhound experience

Transportation
